How To Install Lightroom Presets Desktop
Installation process: Lightroom Classic (version 7.3 or later - since April 2018)
You need to have version 7.3 or later. For older versions of Lightroom Classic, see the instructions below.
• Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
• Open Lightroom Classic and go to the ‘Develop’ module.
• On the left panel, look for the ‘Presets’ panel and click the small ‘+’ icon next to it
• Select ‘Import Presets’ from the dropdown menu
• Navigate to the folder ‘Lightroom and Lightroom Classic – XMP’, select the ‘xmp-presets-installer.zip’, and click Import. You should import a zipped file into Lightroom, not a folder.
• Your presets will now be available in the ‘Presets’ panel within the group ‘Gabriele Vinci’.
Installation process: Lightroom 4, 5, 6 and Lightroom Classic (version 7.2 or older - before April 2018)
• Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
• Open Lightroom and go to Preferences, then select the Presets tab.
• Click on the ‘Show Lightroom Presets Folder’ button.
• Double click on the ‘Lightroom’ folder, then double click on the ‘Develop Presets’ folder.
• Navigate to the folder ‘Lightroom 4-6 and Classic CC – lrtemplate’ and copy the folder ‘Gabriele Vinci – Travel Collection’ into the Develop Presets folder.
• Restart Lightroom, your presets will now be available in the ‘Presets’ panel.
Installation process: Lightroom CC, Mac & Windows
These instructions are for Adobe Lightroom 1.3 onwards.
• Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
• Open Lightroom CC, press E to reveal the Edit controls, or click on the edit icon at the top right. The icon looks like three horizontal bars with circles on them.
• Click on the Presets button at the bottom right to expose the Presets list.
• The presets panel is now revealed.
• Click on the icon of three dots ‘•••’ at the top of the list.
• In the dropdown menu select ‘Import Presets’.
• Navigate to the folder ‘Lightroom and Lightroom Classic – XMP’, select the ‘xmp-presets-installer.zip’, and click Import. You should import a zipped file into Lightroom, not a folder.
• Your presets will now be available in the ‘Presets’ panel.
Installation process: Camera RAW (version 10.3 or later) Presets in Photoshop - Mac
• Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
• Navigate to the folder ‘Camera RAW – XMP’, select the folder you will find inside it (e.g. ‘Gabriele Vinci – T’, or ‘Gabriele Vinci – P’), and press Command +C to copy the directory.
• Open a new Finder window, then go to:
– “UserName > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Settings” and hit Command +V to paste the folder inside it (If the ‘Library’ folder is not visible, please read this Adobe article: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html).
• You should now have the folder (e.g. ‘Gabriele Vinci – T’) inside the ‘Settings’ folder.
• Start Photoshop, the presets are now ready to use.
Installation process: Camera RAW (version 10.3 or later) Presets in Photoshop - Windows
• Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
• Navigate to the folder ‘Camera RAW – XMP’, select the folder you will find inside it (e.g. ‘Gabriele Vinci – T’, or ‘Gabriele Vinci – P’), and press CTRL+C to copy the directory.
• Go to the following location on your computer:
– ‘C: \ Users \ UserName \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ Settings’ and hit CTRL+V to paste the folder inside it.
• You should now have the folder (e.g. ‘Gabriele Vinci – T’) inside the ‘Settings’ folder.
• Start Photoshop, the presets are now ready to use.
